Tygers U10 Claws Back, but Falls Just Short Against Helderberg
Despite an 8-run deficit in the third inning, Tygers U10 almost came all the way back, eventually falling 20-18 to Helderberg on Saturday. Tygers U10 scored 12 runs in the failed comeback on a single by Rourke in the third, a single by Phillip in the third, a double by Kyle in the third, a double by Camron in the third, a single by Willo in the fourth, a double by Camron in the fifth, a single by Alexio in the fifth, a double by Caleb in the fifth, a single by Willo in the fifth, and a single by Caleb in the sixth.
Tygers U10 couldn’t keep up with Helderberg early in the game. Helderberg scored on a single by Ross, a double by Liam, a double by Gabriel, and a single by Rahys in the first inning.
Helderberg got things started in the first inning. Ross drove in two when he singled.
Tygers U10 tallied five runs in the fifth inning. Tygers U10’s offense in the inning came from singles by Alexio and Willo and doubles by Camron and Caleb.
