Tygers U10 Grabs Lead in Fifth Inning to Defeat Bothasig
Tygers U10 stole the lead late in the game in a 13-10 victory over Bothasig on Saturday. The game was tied at ten with Tygers U10 batting in the bottom of the fifth when Camron singled on the his at bat, scoring one run.
Ethan led Tygers U10 to victory by driving in four runs. He went 3-for-4 at the plate. Ethan drove in runs on a single in the second, a single in the third, and a double in the fifth.
Tygers U10 got things started in the first inning when Jamie M induced Kyle to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored.
Tyler was on the mound for Tygers U10. He lasted one and one-third innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out three.
Jamie M was on the pitcher’s mound for Bothasig. They went one inning, allowing one run on zero hits and striking out one. Sean A and Caleb B each contributed in relief for Bothasig.
Tygers U10 collected 14 hits. Ethan, Camron, Kyle, Sachin, and Tyler each managed multiple hits for Tygers U10. Ethan went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Tygers U10 in hits.
Bothasig scattered 17 hits in the game. Sean C, Jamie M, Caleb B, Tyler C, Riley M, and Caleb M all managed multiple hits for Bothasig. Sean C led Bothasig with four hits in four at bats. Bothasig didn’t commit a single error in the field. Jamie M had the most chances in the field with three.
